Dear Parent or Guardian:
Welcome back to school! I hope you are as excited as I am about starting what I firmly believe will be a wonderful school year. This year I am so happy that we will be offering our students a 9-period day, which will provide them with more electives, AP courses and a lunch period for all. I am very much looking forward to the start of the 2022-2023 year as Principal of Brentwood High School.
The first day of school is Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Your child will be required to arrive at school no later than 7:18 am and he/she will be dismissed at 2:00 pm. At the high school, as mentioned above we have a 9-period day and period 1 will be the homeroom period when the pledge and announcements will be read. If your son/daughter has a late arrival period on their schedule, they may arrive to school late, without penalty, provided they arrange for their own transportation. The school cafeterias will be open for breakfast at 7:00 am, and again, we are offering a complimentary breakfast to every student. I encourage you to urge your son/daughter to get involved and attend many of the outstanding organizations here at the high school. Every day there is a club, sport, activity, or event taking place in the afternoon, weeknight, or weekend.
Finally, please note that our “Meet the Teacher Night” will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 6:00-9:00 pm. You will receive further information regarding this night in the upcoming weeks.
The Brentwood High School staff is committed to providing your child with the best possible education. We look forward to working closely with you this school year. Again, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the office at (631) 434-2204 or the guidance office in the Ross Center at (631) 434-2207 and the Sonderling Center at (631) 434-2394. Enjoy what remains of your summer.
